in shape and size of the pieces available,
PD Global offer a range of exclusive finishes
on selected lines.
Some ranges are pre-finished.
Such pieces are only available in a specific
finish that best reflects their individual
style and character. However, where applicable
PD Global offer the following exclusive
finishes:
No
finish.
  Raw Timber:
For persons wishing to apply their own
unique finish to their furniture, selected
lines are available in raw timber form
from PD Global.
Standard
finishes.
  Lacquer:
This hard wearing, resilient, low maintenance,
smooth lacquer finish is the ideal choice
for most homes.
  Wax:
A wax finish will complement both contemporary & traditional
homes. Waxing enhances the character of
the piece and gives a warm nourished feel.
  Abbeywax:
A more traditional finish, extracting the
history of the piece. Abbeywax produces
a richer colour, embellishing the grain
of the wood.
Special
finishes.
  Buttermilk:
A cream base paint with a subtle touch
of patina and some light distressing to
give a touch of antiquity to Buttermilk
pieces.
  Parchment:
A white emulsion paint is overlaid with
a fine coat of wax to produce a distinctive
finish that accentuates the character
of the grain.
  Antique Ivory:
This ivory finish has its edges buffed
away for the classical shabby chic look.
  Milkwood:
A very smooth and clean painted finish
that is complimented by a lacquered contrast
making it perfect for the modern home.
  Chestnut:
A warm antiqued brown with a smooth and
resillient lacquer finish contrasted
with a smooth clean painted finish.
  Snow White:
Normally found on MDF furniture that by nature has ultra smooth surfaces. However we have bowed to repeated requests to coat our pine furniture with this finish. Purchasers should note though, that surface profiles of the timber underneath will be pronounced.
  Antique White:
The popularity of the Antique Ivory coating has prompted many customers to request an even whiter appearance but we introduce character of mild distressing with subtle rubbing back to reveal the brown undercoat.
